1: Remember that it is you who is responsible for the success or failure of your new business! The overwhelming majority of new and experienced network marketers blame everyone but themselves for things that don’t work. . But the reality is everything that happens to you in network marketing is a result of how much work, time & motivation that you put in to your network marketing business.
Trust me, I know. In my first few years of network marketing I blamed everyone or everything except myself for my lack of success. The day that you realize that it is YOU, not your upline that determines your success and that YOU, and you alone are responsible for your business you will begin to see results.
Sit down and write down your short term goals, long term goals, your reason or reasons for getting started with a network marketing business and WHY you are going to succeed. You need a WHY for YOU to be successful in your home business.
2: Educate yourself! As a network marketing newbie you need to focus on educating yourself. Not just when first starting out but continuously. I know that you want to make money right away but you also need to learn the ropes. Remember you have to crawl before you can walk.
It is the same way with network marketing Learn from your upline, you direct sponsor, youtube, books and where ever else that you find education, motivation & inspiration. Whether in real world business or your business of network marketing you have continually educate yourself.
3: Patience Pays. Hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Your house wan’t built in a day and your business won’t be either. I know that you will be excited and want to shoot out like a canon but start right and do things right. Building a business takes time, effort, and lots of patience.
You may get some friends and family members to sign on with you but should things not take off right away DON’T GIVE UP! Patience, determination and motivation will pay off. This is where your WHY will keep you going. Everything that you do and every step that you take out of your comfort zone (tip 4) will lead to success.
4: Expect to get a little bit uncomfortable. If this is your first network marketing a business, than it’s very likely that you’ll be working out of your box. The business of network marketing is connecting with people and you will need to connect and inspire. You may be afraid and feel uncomfortable trying new things because you are shy or lack confidence. It’s okay. It is part of the growing, and it’s a good thing. Embrace the change, be patient and PUSH on.
I can tell you from experience you will get beyond the fear of failure.
5: No is not the end of the world. Look you will hear NO, I don’t have the money, I don’t have the time, Maybe next month or that is just a pyramid thing. Don’t worry. If you are patient and keep on path you will also hear YES! Don’t be afraid of no, take it as a learning moment and move on.
6: Manage your time. Time management is very important if you are going to succeed in network marketing. You need to plan and schedule a time of the day that you will dedicated yourself to your business. Set aside a work area and use it only for your home business. Also use that time ONLY for working your business. That means answering emails, making marketing videos, making contact and return calls. Don’t use the time for anything else. Not even learning. Your learning time needs to be kept separate from your work time.
The more time that you can dedicate to your home business the better your odds at succeeding.
7: Don’t quit your day job. If you already have a job don’t quit it until you know that you can survive from your home business.
